Cure in Wiesen, Austria
| This was my second time in Wiesen... last year i
was there to see The Sisters. its amazing how a place like that can have the best bands.
Wiesen is a small village in the middle of nowhere, near Vienna. and you have to walk for
30 minutes to get to the festival site from the train stop. this time they had arranged
some transportation to the site but of course they didnt care how people got home after
the festival... i noticed that when the festival was over: i had to walk to the train stop
with my huge backpack. and of course the weather happened to be really hot. This was my first Cure concert in over 10 years so i was really looking forward to it. this was also the only time when The Cure were performing with at least one decent band, Pulp. the kids were acting like in a Backstreet Boys concert and screaming their hearts out because of Jarvis Cocker, the sex object :) the Cure gig was ok with some sound problems but i was happy. the security people were acting like nazis so i didnt want to take any extra chances with my camera.. so, no pictures this time. |
